Okay, this is really dumb, but what part of the LS rod needs to be shaved enabling it to work with an ITR piston?

1mm off both sides of the end that goes into the piston…
Don’t forget to get them balanced.
I figured as much, but wanted to make sure. I want to ACT like I know what I am talking about when I go to the machine shop.

How much does it cost to shave the 1mm, and the cost for balancing the rods?
prices will vary depending on what type of shops you have locally. Open your phone book, call the local machine shops and see what kinds of prices they will give you. Even prices in your local area will vary greatly (i know mine did when i called about machine work for my rebuild).

Last time I checked at the local machine shop they were going to charge $80 for all 4 rods I believe.
