SuspensionTech Sway Bar review......:)

Last sunday I intalled my sustech sway bar set. The install was fairly straight forward, rather easy actually, didn’t have to remove the cat in the front like the directions said to.
After one week of driving with them I REALLY like the handling of the car. The car has a much more neutrel feel to it. When you go around turns it feels like, well, you know when you’re on a roller coaster how you have that feeling of being on tracks, it’s kind of like that. I would recommend them for anyone concidering them.
I ordered them from Summit Racing for $237 or something for the set, got them in like 1 or 2 days. Just buy them you wont regret it…

Yes exactly. And you thought your car handled flat after springs and shocks…

I was so impressed with mine too

What size were these sway bars. The stock Integra has them on the front and rear right?Won’t the strut bars do the same thing?

I’m curious, some say our cars handle better with just the rear ST bar as opposed to f&r. What do you guys think? Any tips? TIA.

Yes tegs have sway bars stock, f and r. strut bars are completely different but i’m not the one that should explain the difference to you.

help!

hey, i have S/T sway bars also but i don’t know what i’m missing. i don’t have bolts or bushings and i don’t know where to get them. anyone know where i can go buy them? let me know, thanks

I wrote a long reply to this but got deleted yesterday. To sum up what I wrote, strut tower bars work differently than anti-sway bars. STBs stiffen chassis from flex. Anti-sway bars plant the wheels firmer to the ground and improve handling far more than ANY strut tower bar could ever do.

I have both front and rear S/T anti-sway bars, and speaking from experience, I would suggest to only get the rear one. Having both makes your car roll less, but would somewhat keep the unwanted understeer that you normally have and would hope to remove by adding just an aftermarket thicker rear anti-sway bar.

I’ve, what would you think about getting the 22mm progress rear bar and then just replacing the bushings on the stock front bar with urithane bushings??? I think that would be quite a nice setup.

Josh, I hope to aquire the Progress bar in the coming weeks. I thought about reverting back to the front stock bar but want to give the Progress a shot with the front ST just to compare. Marc actually loosens his stock front sway bar endlinks while autocrossing if you can believe it! All this and running the Progress rear as well. Your idea sounds like a good one and if I’m still not happy with the excessive understeer after installing the Progress, I’ll probably be doing just what you mentioned.

Hehe, you know what that means!

Leif

comes with everything

when you buy the s/t sway bars does it come with all the bushings and everything you need for the install? Also i heard that some rear lower tie bars wont fit with the s/t sway bars. Does anyone have both on there car. I really want a dc sports rear lower tie bar, those things look sweet.
