Synsei's slow build. 56K ask for a raise.

How about you send me one to da9b16@yahoo.com. I have some stuff you maybe need or want? I don’t think they will get mad. It is your thread. If so I apologize not my game to piss anyone off. I am only here to assist when I can. After owning 20 something or so of these cars I may have some knowledge to give away.

Thanks for the hook up with your friend down there… GOOD deal

i’m sure i might have posted a couple of times in this thread, but i’m bored so…

No prob man. She’s good peeps as you can tell with some of the parts she’s hooked me up with for my project.

Well if everything goes according to plan, I’ll be painting the bay either this weekend or next.

Nope, I don’t think you have. I’m not sure why you posted that big ass random pic of your car in my build thread.

i think he posted in the wrong thread

Went to the paint store today for some supplies. I’ve got a couple of things to touch up in my bay and I’ll be ready to spray.

This isnt really a spoiler unless you really know the color.
:naughty:

Inside shot

Outside shot (overcast day)

Until next time…

thats gonna be a sweet color. are those crome flakes?

OH DAMN that color is so pretty. should have mixed it first though. what is it a candy apple red?

on the can it says “bright copper” nissan color, maybe from the 350Z?

Copper flake.

I didnt mix it since I had just gotten it shaken. Maybe I shouldve. Nah, it’s not candy apple red. I love that the flop is so deceiving.

I purposely kept the paint info in the shot for those apt enough to gather a visual. Nissan-yes. 350Z-negative.

ah, well then that only really leaves one car,the 03/04 Nissan Murano.

^^

No comment. Haha.
:surrend:

Sooo…

After trying to get motherfucking nut off of the fuel line for so long, I decided to pull the grommet back and primer around it. Good thing I did that because look what I found.

The good news is that I found it early. The bad news is that I dont know how to fix it yet. I’d been thinking about in in-line fuel filter, but now I guess I’m really leaning towards one.

Firewall primered up

The interior as it stands right now

Parts in the back seat

I also wanted the block to be just a little blingier (not much) so I repainted

Stay tuned.

nice dude, that colors gonna look real nice. I remember when my interior looked like that, i refinished everthing in black. peviously palmy blue and gray.

I cant wait to find a gsr motor to put on my engine stand and rebuild for boost. once thats done im gonan do the same thing youre doing with the bay. then drop the motor and turbo and everything in. i really wanna do a real simple wire tuck, nothin too extreme, smooth everything out and repaint the bay. i just cant justify tearin everything apart now when im gonna end up doin it again next year.

that would have been real shitty to find out after you get done putting everything back together , way to pay attention to the detailed shit. you gotta quality build going on man. im deffinatly taking some pointers from this thread for my upcoming build.

i think i know what model it was sprayed on
I wash cars all day. i tend to see every make, model, color combination you could imagine
Excelent choice if i happen to be correct.

^ i figured it out up there.

im taking pointers from here as well.

Thanks guys. I’m really looking forward to painting the bay. I think it’ll look sick. I still don’t know what I’m going to do about that fuel line though. I was so stressed out I had to take a break to run to the store and buy a 40 ounce.:tsk:

nice work, the color for the engine bay looks real nice. also the color of the block looks the same as the color i used on my last motor, aluminum if i remember right.

color should be REALLY nice to look at…

On a side note I should have made mention of the FREE Erykah Badu show in Downtown Dallas on Friday night. Don’t know if you are into her or not but my wife and I listen to ALOT of Neo- Soul and I am an ol skool hip hop junkie…
There was free music and free starbucks…We ate some sushi and had Kirin Ichiban (my fav) on tap for a $1 a mug!!!

That’s my pregnant wife and my friend Juan in the pix.

Moreteck, yeah it’s aluminum. Well the first color was a low-gloss aluminum because I didnt want it too blingy, but I couldnt find a medium gloss.

da9b16- I keep missing Erykah everytime she comes to ATX. I don’t like to call it “neo-soul” but I listen to some of it. Dwele is pretty cool. Theres a local group called 8 Million Stories thats really good. You should look em up. Music really keeps me focused on this project. Until the restoration part of my project is done…it’s all heavy music. Mastodon, Converge, Slayer, Lamb of God. LOL. Well heavy music and jungle (drum n’ bass). Everything else
chills me out too much and I’ll never finish this damn thing.
