Teg Tip: Bad Idle Troubleshooting

I have a question. I own a 92 integra LS Auto and when i drive about 40Mph my car rev’s around 2.5-3, But if i really get on it it rev’s even higher ofcourse but it seems not normal. Does anyone know wut the normal Rev is suppose to be? If someone can email me n let me know what i can do to fix it or whatever that would be great cuz im barley on here as it is…

check your trans. fluid level

and if you come on a forum to ask for help, you need to take responsibility to come back and check if anyone answered your question.

it not, might as well take your car to a mechanic who knows what he’s doing and pay him to fix it.

I went down this checklist and Still nothin, but i did find my cure. I disconnected the hoses and removed my pcv valve. Plugged the hose that goes to the intake manifold and bam, loping idle was fixed, and idle completely normalized. Also in addition, my car used to vibrate when accelerating and changing into 2nd gear around 25 mph, im talking the whole car vibrated. Everyone was saying axles, lower ball joint, half shaft etc but after plugging the hose where the pcv valve was the vibration completely stopped. High idle/then loping idle/ vibration during acceleration normalized and stopped by just plugging that hose. As of now im not going to put a new pcv valve but incase you guys still cant solve your idle problwms, give this a try, im not recomending to run without pcv but it definitely helped me 110%

Running a without a PCV is a bad idea in California. You should probably just replace the PCV and clean out the breather chamber.
