there are a few things that cause that ,i just fixed my gsr yesterday.most common thing is the idle air control valve that is bolted directly into the back of the intake ,manifold.it has 2 hoses running into the bottom of it and an elctrical plug. its bolted in by 2 12 mm bolts. if u wanna knwo how to fix it email deeznutz373@aol.com .it could also be a bad fast idle valve which is bolted onto the bottom of the throttle body (take it off and shake it and look inside…if it rattles and is broken inside gaet a new one
