i had a 01 tl-p and the stupid tranny probs i was on my like 5th tranny so i traded it in… i want another one but the tranny problems are a PITA
too bad they didnt come 6mt

I dont think the transmission problems apply to the 2003 model?.
yeah all 2nd gen tl’s 99-03
the 2nd and 3rd gear clutches dont get enough oil and they wear down to nothing…
acura covers the tranny on recall till 100k
but they replace your broken tranny with another rebuilt one… so they just keep going out… like every 15-30k miles
so they take care of you and give you a loaner… but still its a hassle

you should take the car into the dealer…
and just tell them you heard there was a recall on the transmissions on those tl’s and u wanted to see if your car was under the recall…
if it is and it hasnt been to the dealer yet… they will install a oil jet squirter to your tranny… and that makes it last longer…

Miss my 00 accord coupe v6 that i had for 2 yrs… but yeah I had tranny problems too… so i sold it… Nice rides Darkdb1… those tl’s are great for long trips…
yea a friend of mine in GA had alot of problems with the tranny in his TL and it was used for the same purpose as you are going to use yours for. he always was taking it to acura to get the transmission replaced or checked out, matter fact two of my friends had the same issues, and sold/traded it. if i were you i’d go get a maxima.
either way though the car is beautiful

But i am paranoid now.
PS: Anyone know what kind of fog light bulb’s are in there? i want to get yellow one’s so it’ll be supah JDM like the DB1.
