I have a 91 teg with a B16a motor and a Apexi vafc. The problem I am having is when I am on the highway and doing about 75 to 85 mph my check engine light comes on. I have taken my car in to the acura dealership and all that they can tell me is that it is my vtec controller that is causing the problem and there is nothing that they can do.
Does any one else have this same problem? And if you do, what did you do to solve this problem?
Any help would be great.

What CEL code are you getting?? That would be a good place for us to start…

The only code that I have been told was a code 2. I am also using a PR3 ecu, if that helps any.
Hmmm, as far as I know, honda doesnt use a code 2 for any of their ECU’s…
It could be your O2 sensor tweaking out on you. Maybe you are pushing too much fuel at high revs. It is kinda hard to say from where I am…

Try to “initialize” the V-AFC and start over from there
worked for the problem I was having with my AFC at about 70 MPH the CEL would come on… no now more!
