Timing Belt Cost

Can some of you guys who had you belt change by a mechanic tell me what you paid for parts and labor? Just need an idea. I just moved to my area and a relative recommended a mechanic who was good but inexpensive or at least to my uncle. Just want to see if it’s correct.

parts should be about $125… timing belt ($55), water pump ($70)… then labor maybe about $300…

so total i’d say about $400-450…

when i had mine changed i had some other stuff done too so it came out to be $500+

i got my timing belt and water pump changed for $150. Thats only cause i know the guy.

I got quoted $250CDN for parts and labour for a b16.

I paid $67 CDN for an Acura timing belt from the dealer, and then got it installed with a new water pump for $125.
All-told it was $220 CDN.

I knew the mechanic through my boss.

Acura dealer will charge around 400-500…If you take it to a trusted mechanic im sure it would be around the range of 200-350 or so. I paid 220 for my belt/pump/acc. belts from a local honda service shop that my family goes to. HTH

oh ya i went to acura also and they estimated $800 so i got it from my usual mechanic instead

u guys have it cheap where u guys live

My timing belt replacement cost me $815 Australian dollars for parts and labour. Somehow the parts cost more than the labour, but i think it cost that much because 1, I did it at the Honda dealer, and 2, they did a full 100000km service

just got mine done for 502$ to the dollar. I got new water pump, timing belt, and ALL front oil seals. the guy put her on the dyno and she ran like a champ at 165k. the mechanic has been working on hondas for well over 20years good friend of the family. did it in half a day cam seals were blown like i thought and he gooped it up real nice. oil was found on the timing belt. i like doing my own work and finding new things out but from what i keep hearing this isnt a fun one. PS honda wanted 520$ just for the belt and water pump.
