Tire and suspension question.

I have recently installed a brand new set of $250 Kumho Solus’s and after about 10,000 miles of driving I now have severe wear on the inside of the Driver’s side front tire. My steering is pretty straight and I am sure my car has never been wrecked. My passenger side Ball joint is getting worn, but the driver’s side seemed ok. I get a vibration in the wheel at around 55 mph.

I was wondering what the main cause of the inner wear is?

inner wear, cause the toe is off

Why not take the car to an alignment shop and let them tell you what’s wrong with your setup? It’s a free service that they do before doing any work on the car, and they have the expensive precision rigs to do it. The 55 mph shake could be anything such as unbalanced wheels among other things. The heavy inner tire wear is likely to be due to out-of-spec toe settings, but other things could add on to that. Suspension systems are precise mechanisms where “pretty straight” and “seemed ok” don’t fit in. Get the right analysis and fix it correctly. Without a complete set of info on your case, all our opinions would be on the level of “your guess is as bad as mine”

torralba nailed it. if you don’t know how to inspect your suspension components bring it to a shop that does. chances are you have worn balljoints, inner/outer tie rods, bushings, unbalanced tires or a bad alignment. any of those could cause tire wear and random shaking.
