I’ve read from one of the threads that you can use a bolt, and a really large washer somehow. Could someone tell me how to remove/install the TA bushings without a press? I’m thinking I can remove the sleeve with a hacksaw or a dremel bit. But how the hell would I get the new ones in? I can buy tools if need be. Could I utilize a big clamp somehow?
I thought the new bushings came with a tool for pressing in?
After you burn out all the old bushing just clean it up real good with some sand paper and lub it up real nice. Line up the new bushing the correct way and lightly tap it into place with a hammer. One the bushing starts to enter the hole get a larger mallet/ sledge and wack the hell out of it until the bushing ends up flush with the trailing arm.
kinda :ghetto: I know but it really works and had no problems doing it this way on my DA.

I’m off to get a hacksaw before work, so I can start on them when I get home. Also, I noticed that the bushings have a yellow dot on one side of the inner solid metal piece. Should that dot be facing the top, or the bottom?
I always read people burning them out, cutting, or what have you to get the friggen things out. I have tried using a bench vice. After all the time and effort spent trying to get them out, I went over to a machine shop and one of the workers pointed me towards a press and let me have at it.
A much cleaner job using less energy than it takes to jack up a car.
Try talking to a machine shop into letting you do it yourself and flip em’ like $20 for it.
anyone know what side the yellow dot is supposed to be on? i’m assuming it should be facing up, but i dunno.
I installed them yesterday. If anyone else needs to know, the yellow dot should be facing down, towards the ground. Heh, I had to carry the arms, complete with brakes, across town one at a time to have the new ones pressed in. Yea, my arms are kinda sore today.
By the way, it’s definitly worth it to press the bushings in, rather than trying to pound them in with a hammer. $10 well spent.
