Hey, I’ve searched and found a lot of posts and threads about going from an auto to a 5spd but I haven’t been able to find an exact price range for the procedure, which is what I need to know. Also, if anyone knows the price for a swap to an lsd equipped transmission as well would be great. Please don;t flame if I missed the answer in a post, I assure you I looked for quite some time. Thanks in advance.
My swap (including parts and getting the work done at a shop) ended up costing me about $1,800 CDN (you’ll have to convert that to U.S.).
Price will really be up to you in the end…it all depends on how many parts you decide to get new or used, what brands you’re after, etc…
If you’ve never driven stick before, I’d suggest going with a setup that’s fairly close to stock. It’ll be easy to learn on, so you can get good at driving stick before you go out and buy a $600 clutch further down the road
