(i thought the clear tails where blasphemy!)

^ That’s the one
It’s my favorite Best Motoring DVD
…and clear taillights are so uncommon now, it makes me jock them everytime I see them. Reminds me of high school in the late 1990s. I don’t really mind them, but they would never go on my car.
yeah real clear tailights not altezza’s.
most of these kids today dont even know those existed :giggle:
dew wha’!?!
you can do all the research in the world on the internet and still not know as much as someone who has done BOTH setups themselves and seen the outcomes 100% (he’s posting in this thread).
I personally decided to boost an ls. A friend of mine decided to build the b16. it makes power up top better than the ls, so be prepared to rev. I think the 1.8 is worth it whether it be gsr or ls. I just don’t really like the b16, but it will make plenty of power.
hmmm i wonder who that could be?
im doin a b16swap this weekend and boostin it =)…ill tell you the outcome
So your saying someone in this thread has built an LS and A b16 and saw exactly which one would be best for DD with a goal of 400WHP? Who.
well im not saying what his goals were, but i know he built both ls-t and b16-t and daily drove both. his name be Chris.
+1 for that guy chris, god he is a fag.
VTEC heads suck down low. Large ports + low rpm = no torque. 1.6 litres + large ports + turbo = NOT FUN to drive around town.
Either I have the best b16 evar, or some people have vastly different versions of “fun”. My NA b16 seems to be decent enough. Though you try to drive it like a v8, and ya, your gonna bog. But you would be an idiot to do that, or believe it will perform like that. (not calling you an idiot, unless your expecting v8 torque out of an i4.)
All jokes a side, the thread was interesting for a sec or 2. I’m an allmotor fan myself… but knows the cost of playing above 8500rpms oh too well. The setup Kyle mention (1.9L w/the 1.7 crank) sounds so right it makes me wanna invest another 3 grand into a motor.
-back to reality.
After reading through the 3 or 4 pages, I think I’ve made the right decision to bring my Teg back to life with a turboed B18C. My goal is 250-275 whp and 175-190ft-lb/Tq on a bone stock JDM B18C and still be able to rev to 8200 RPM daily.
okay so all in all.
iif i was to turbo a jdm b16a (XSI) motor what will i need to do to make it safely drivable on a daily basis ? I just want the turbo kit for show mostly. nothing serious.
