I’ve got a 91 integra and want to put a turbo on it? I am not sure what has to be done to do this and who makes a turbo kit for it? Just a little curious… Any help would be nice…
you can either buy a kit from just about anyone, or you can piece one out (custom) which usually ends up cheaper. You would want to strengthen the engine i.e. pistons, rods, etc… upgrade fuel system i.e. injectors, safc…prolly your ecu if you want, but I don’t think it is necessary…upgrade exhaust would be great, more flow for your dough (did that just rhyme?)…ignition…there are prolly more things but these are just a few.
the parts you would need for the turbo system itself would be
turbo
turbo manifold
o2 sensor housing & down pipe
(depending on the type of turbo, you might need an external wastegate, unless internally wastegated like the dsm turbos)
intercooler
oil lines
piping for intercooler
blow off valve’s are great
You might want to relocate your battery to the trunk (check teg tips) so that you have more room to play with, but I don’t think it is necessary
