im lookin at turboing my 90LS and i found a smog legal kit from greddy but its for the 94+ and from what i kno the engines are about the same, will this kit still work on my engine? thanks for any help
it will work but you will have to modify the charge pipes…
What is the charge pipes?
^^pipes that goes before and after the intercooler to the throttle body…
I am also doing the same thing to my 90 LS. So what kind of modifications should i expect. And what is the difficulty of the modifications i will have to do. Also would i have to modify anything in the turbonetics turbo kit for 92-93 LS/GS, cuz if i dont have to do anything, i will just buy it. And if i have to do any mandrel (sp?) bending, i cant because no one in my area has one. So if it requires it, than what does anyone recomend.
I would recomend the turbonetics kit over the greddy. U will have more hp potential out of that kit. To me the greddy kit is really restricting and watered down. every dyno sheet i have seen on that kit did not impress me at all.
thats my 2 cent
sorry if i am jacking the thread, but i guess what i am trying to ask is it easier to put a turbo kit for a second gen integra then a third, or do i have to do the same modifications?
Really the only thing is just the pipes…Everything else is B Series so it should work… 3 kits made for the DA…That I’d choose from.
1.Drag
2.Rev-hard
3.Full-Race <<— Expensive
I have a Drag Turbo kit on my car and love it…
What i am asking is what kind of work needs to be done to the pipes?
modification means cutting them and making them fit to your car…
out of those kits though the first two have lowsy wastegate positions. On the Drag manifold it is located only on runner for cylinder1 limiting its ability to regulate boost. Rev Hards itsnt much better even though it is located further down the manifold. At least they are log type cast pieces and not a tubular manifold since cast ones are more durable than tubular due to heat cycles and the welds on tubular ones cracking over a period of time due to heat cycles. I think custom is the best way to go since most kits are made to be mass produced so the crappyer manifolds, deltagate wastegates, welds, and engine manigment are used and custom u pick each piece for its performance and its quality
If I were to go that route, I would just have a local shop make me custom pipes for my setup and sell the G3 Greddy pipes.
It sounds to me like you need to do a little researching before you buy a kit though.
