URGENT:: Weird AZZ idle:: ITR manifold

well…bad news. pulled of my EACV , and cleaned it with carbeurater cleaner… got all this black shiz out and still no change… it kinda struggles when it falls down to like 2k rpms or something…what else is left the FPR? where is the O-ring in that? just onbolt it and what. man this is agrivating. any other suggestoins?

also:; after re-installing the IACV valve im getting a hardccore whisteling noise from the manifold / TB area…hmm…what could this be. i wasn’t getting it before i removed / installed the IACV

NEW NEWS:: check this out…i disconnected the IACV ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR and it just idle’s at 1000-1500 just keeps bumping up and down rapidly…but im getting a CEL…BUT i can at least step on teh gas and it will fuction properly…hopefully this should give you guys some insight to what exactly my problem is-- also…im still getting a whiiny whisteling sound from the TB / IACV / IM area…i wasn’t getting this before i re-installed the IACV…actually i got it when i connected the bottom of the purge to the canister guy. i think im gonan go reconnect the vacuums the way i had it so i get no whistles.

update…

when tightening down the fuel rail the 3rd (passenger side) fuel rail stud broke so thats one thing to go get from honda. i think im getting a leak on the driver side of the manifold…i spray some stuff down there and it kinda mists back at me…so i guess air’s getting out somehow. im about ready to sell my stinkin car…not realy but im really pissed off that i hafta do this all over. consider me out for a while. thanks for everyone’s help.

update:: i got a new plug and got it on the manifold without messing up the threads…questoin…you konw those little orange/brown circular things that were on the old manifold studs? do they go over the new manifold studs? what do they do?

also… my injector is kinda cracked (who knows how) bu the part that’s like orange has a wholein it…very small…i plan on just getting a new injector from a friend who did a motor swap, but can i at least drive (when i get it running) a few days with it like that or will my car blow up

also:: dan i told you how when i took off the EACV connector and the two prongs it would actually ‘run’ but threw a CEL…well… i’m almsot out of gas, and everytime i start this sucker up and let it run it’s up neer 3 grand up and down…would it would ok to go take it down the hill ( 2 seconds from my house ) and fill her up? im afriad of running out. what exactly would go wrong if i drove around with-out that electrical connector for a while…would it mess up my car permanetly or not just run right. i dont have a ride to school…gotta take the cheez…(ouch the cheeze as a senior…tell me about it…no im sure i’ll have a friend drive ) maybe just connect the hoses but not the electrical connector so i can still drive it othewise it’s really shaky and i can’t press on the gas.

well with the fuel rail and injectors out i made sure to EXTRA TIGHTEN all the bolts even the super duper hard ones to grasp, but i got them. they weren’t loose at all, but i still could tighten then maybea 1/4 of a turn. think that will play into the role. i really hope i can get this thing working.

ALSO where the FITV was, there was a hose that connected to that, and another hose connected to the little hose on the intake manifold on the passenger side ( right next to the GIANT NIPPLE and GIANT HOSE ) …should i just plug the smaller nipple up and plug the hose that went to the fitv?? thanks for yer help guys…later–

ps. wish me luck!

im going to replace the injector o-rings ( the small tiny ones ) would this be a reason why im getting a funkydunky idle? woudln’t i throw a code? i might as well replace them while their out right? thanks-=-=later

dan and for anyone else… im pretty sure its not my tps. i changed tbs (the gasket was fine) and on honda-tech.com they said my b17a would work no problem, but it made no difference it the idle. so now im down to either. …

A. manifold not seeled completely on head
B. fuel problems?
C. vaccuum leaks and im pretty sure thats not it seing how i’ve payed extra attnetion to it. im not sure else what i coudl do. please respond with any thing that may help. do you suggest a total teardown and re-install? im getting sick of not driving for such a task.

hmm…lets think… if i using a b117a or b18a TB, they have two holes, but the type r has one. do you think this woudl make a difference. does a 94+ TB (ls or gsr) have two holes or one…i remember someone saying they put a 96 manifold and it didn’t have a fitv so i dont think that coul be it. i really dont know what to think at this point. im very stressed as you can tell. sorry for being such a jerk and just demanding answers ( or if it sounds like that ) but you know how it is when yer cars out. i just like to tell people, ‘my cars not cooperating with me.’ --later
