Cognitive dissonance I tell you, these guys against remakes of anything for our already lack of performance parts for G2 integras doesn’t make any sense at all… You’d think they would want more of something good for everyone.
No wonder why companies will not put R&D into new products for our old cars, its cause of these naysayers…
I agree partially with both sides. But, I doubt this guy has the means, time, or equipment to MASS produce these like has been said. That would ruin it. But if he were to make a certain amount and not go overboard… I don’t see the big deal. Yeah there would be a few more floating around. Oh well, they are still replicas. So the guys with the legit USracing lips that are against this will still be able to say they have one of the few real ones. That will never change. Nothing wrong with sharing a few more with this community that gets neglected by most manufacturers. Let’s just keep the quantities to a respectable amount.

Sorry i have been MIA for so long, real life kicked in for a bit, and i had to rebuild my DA.
the US racing lip was only for a 90-91 bumper and i have no intention of making it for the 92-93.
I do not have the means to mass produce these, the mold will not be based on an actual US racing lip. I used to have a lip that was build by tnd2gen off of the original mold, and i have the dimensions and contours and tons and tons of pics i took of my old DA with that lip so i know how its supposed to look and fit. this WILL be a very limited run of these, im not looking to mass produce them just more of a way to cover the costs for making my own personal one.
I was thinking of making maybe 10 or so of them and seeing how it goes. i started the mold and its going to take a while to get it perfect and just the way i like it, so start saving.
im not against this lip going into mass production, its a great styling peice, one of only 2 lips that ever looks good on the 90-91 bumper and the only one that i would run.
now this wont be an exact replica of the lip, but will be a close copy.
im not sure about prices yet but i will know after i finish the mold. im trying to keep prices between $100 and $200 for a fiberglass lip.
I want one lol and for the same reason… i love the 90-91 front but i don’t love the front lip selection at all for 90-91 or both fronts lol, plus i’m tired of the first gen teg lip. Hopefully i’ll be able to have one of these on my teg next year. Would love to see some progress pics… might help getting some people to have some down payments ready.
honestly im not looking for down payments until i have the mold ready, then ill really put the word out and blow it up, just depends how eveyrthing goes
I respect you for keeping them limited in production. A “group-buy” of 10 or so is very reasonable, considering slasher713 (with the aid of Deceptakhan) remade 10 Pancake Racing Hiro wing re-issues through JDP. Keeping things limited keeps their rarity and desirability, a plus in the realm of discontinued parts. Seeing how it also isn’t going to be an exact replica of the USRacing lip, it will most likely be slightly different, depending on how much time you spend perfecting the mold. It adds to its uniqueness.
Keeping it '90-'91, check.
Not mass producing, check.
Not taking the mold of an actual USRacing lip, check.

UPDATE!!!
so after deciding the material i was using was useless i decided to start fresh with a new material. made alot of progress today, heres some pics.
also while carving it out i decided to make a couple of tweaks, it will be a little bigger then the original USR lip, only because it should allow me to run more downforce out of it, yes i said it, thats why the lip was designed the way it was. so i can hopefully run this lip instead of a splitter.
toss me some input
