I want to get a nice set of coilovers for my EF and I found a set of the new weapon R dual spring coilovers for sale for $180 shipped (2 mo old). I was just wondering if they were nice. They are as much $ new as the skunks. Anybody know the spring rates for 'em? If you have these let me know what you think of them.
Eh, I got em on my g2. Hella bouncy. THey are kinda soft. Easy to adjust. But that helper spring makes em kinda plush. If you push the car down it seems stiff, but if u hit a bump, it will rebound a few times.
Maybe its cuz my struts/shocks are blown, Im gonna try these weapon R’s on some illuminas to see how that works out.

Probably.
No offense but I hate it when people say coilovers are harsh and bouncy when thy are riding on stock shocks. Coilovers are stiffer than stock. They are for making your car handle with less body roll. The stock shocks were made to dampen no more than the stiffness of the stock spring (~230lbF and 175lbR on integras). So obviously springs with ~450 and ~350 are going to bounce with shocks that arent able to dampen.
My 1st gen weapn R’s were very bouncy when I had my stock shocks on but it is expected with spring rates almost twice the stocks. I got AGX’s and the harsh bouncy ride went away.

ya springs are more for ride quality/cornering. rebounding/bouncing comes from the shocks
