I know this sounds stupid but, im putting a turbo on my car and I was wondering because i live in chicago if its ok to run a turbo in the ice cold weather? Would i have to adjust anything? My car is lowered bout 2.25" Will this make my intercooler a snow plow?
I am not 100% sure on my answer so don’t depend on me… but I live in Canada and when it’s winter here I know of lots of people with turbos and I haven’t heard of any problems. I know they always let the engine warm up nice and good before rippin’ around… and as usual letting the turbo cool down is routine. I think you’ll be fine in Chicago but that’s jsut from the little I know about turbos.
Once warm, Turbo’s love cold weather. The ride height of your car is another issue.
