It’s been pissing me off for who knows how long…
It’s a kinda grinding sound coming from the driver’s side dash…only happens once I’m going over 40km/h or so.
Could this be the speedometer cable?
If its get predominately louder over the days and months its your speedocable.
I think it’s definately got a bit louder than when it first started.
So how do I fix this??
To fix it you need to take out your cluster and spray some sort of lithium grease on the cable.

i have the same prob but i know its the speedo cable because i unplugged it and drove around the block, no noise… I’ll try and spray grease on tommorrow, i’ll let you guys know how goes!!
I’ve heard a brand new cable is $20 from the dealer (if the grease doesn’t help). Mine used to make noise and simply unplugging it and plugging it back in seems to have fixed it(for now).
