i installed my neuspeed cc header around the middle of jan.today i noticed about a sixteenth of an inch hole at one of the welds around where the upper pipe bolts to the lower pipe.this really pisses me off.i hear how this is one of the best headers out there and it cracks after one month of use? does anyone know if there is a substance out there that i can buy that will withstand the heat and seal the hole. also if if anyone knows the contact number for neuspeed i would greatlly appreciate it. has anyone else had this problem, and what if any thing did neuspeed do to fix the problem?
Dont stress it, just get a hold of Neuspeed and I am sure they will swap that one out for a new one. Just because you got a crack in that header doesnt necessarily mean that Neuspeed products suck, it is just a bad weld and it is also the first time that I have ever heard of one of their headers doing that.
Neuspeed will take care of you if you handle this appropriately, as long as you bought it new.
One of my friend’s Neuspeed Headers cracked at the welds too. Right where the “V” comes together… He gave it to me for cheap, so I went ahead and bought it… I just used some of that cement-like stuff at the autoparts stores to fix muffler leaks… I haven’t been able to install them yet to see if it works cuz I’ve been really busy, plus I can’t get my bolts on my cat off,. but if it doesn’t work, I’ll just get the crack welded up…
Also, although the crack was just a hairline fracture, when I look at it from the inside out, I could easily see light coming in from where the crack was… and the welds looked pretty thin… ALOT thinner than what I would’ve expected… after seeing that, it didn’t seem too surprising that it cracked so easily…
