I agree totally. The difference is unreal. My paint looked good before, but now it looks GREAT!
Here’s a few quick pictures I took on my lunch break. Not the best, but you can kind of get the idea.

Finally that 91 Type R lip looks good on a car.
DA JeLLie: Does RevAuto still do the detailing services?
What would a cut and buff job cost?
:hump:  the mirror car! i wouldn’t drive that… id be to afraid to mess up the paint.
i always wanted to get silver paint job and buff it so good it was like a chrome car.
I think they still do. I think he’s got one of the body shop guys from next door doing weekend work for them. But I have no clue. Depending on the condition, I would probably charge starting $125 If I had to do alot of cutting, swirl/scratch removal, thats when it would start going up. Detail pricing is a VERY complicated process.
Do you have any good detail shops in SoCal that you could recommend?
www.superiorshine.com if he is too expensive, and still want stuff done, I will do it for you, I just have to see what kind of work would need to be done.
Basically, all I really want done is to have a cut/polish/buff on my hood, roof and hatch to get rid of oxidation and swirl marks.
I’m sure it’s something I could try with the right tools and materials, but I have no experience using a buffer and cutting compounds.
For a few bucks ill let you use my stuff, and show you what I know so far. Oxidation can be fixed, clear coat failure can not.
The paint is less than 2 years old. I live close to the beach, so in the morning my car is covered with dew and the hot summer sun bakes the water and minerals into my paint all day. The hood, roof and hatch just need a refesh.
