well my turbo decided to take a crap, so I ditched the Garrett and spent way more $$$$ than I intended on myself for Christmas… it’s a bittersweet present to myself.
got mine a lip off a 90-93 accord at the local pull a part for 9 bucks. im being kinda cheap this year lol. :manual:

what happened to the original turbo?? very nice pickup, what are the specs??
This is the one year I didn’t get stuff for my DA. It gets enough attention throughout the year that I don’t need to dump more cash into it on Christmas too.
On another note, my fully built LSV motor will be all setup and ready for boost by February/March

just took it off today, the turbine wheel on the cold side was rubbing against the inner housing of the compressor. bought the turbo used from a friend, not sure what to blame as the culprit, turbo still built boost “when it wanted to” lol, started to smoke under full boost and the sound it made just didn’t sound safe. it lasted all of maybe 2 hrs the next day after I got it back from the shop. so haven’t even got to really enjoy the car. but from what the original specs I was told on the turbo were they were wrong. it’s a smaller turbo than I thought. I stated earlier that it was a t3/t04E housing but it’s actually a t3/t04b housing with a 2.5 inlet on the cold side. my new turbo is a t3/t04E housing with a 3in inlet on the cold side and looks a good size bigger. it’s a precision SC6031E .63 hot side .60 cold side. rated to be good for 590whp.
