I believe the stock specs call for something around 1.14?? SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG But im pretty sure its around there…

This is correct. I do recommend you set it close to 0.039 inches as much as possible. As the plugs wear, the gap will increase. And hopefully, by the time you need to change the plugs again, it has reached the max gap limit of 0.043 inches.
