? what makes a gt series turbo gt

so is just the bb or is that an option. From what i have been told gt turbos have a smaller hot side and a bigger coldside and the exhaust housing is a 4bolt. Any truth to this

I.E i have seen a hks GT2830 with and ar of .70 and that turbo is $1150

and from what i know its a t28 will ball bearings.

The GT line of turbos are Garrett’s next generation of turbos. The compressors and turbines have been redesigned using CAD and new manufacturing technologies are used to make them. They are redesigned for increased efficiency and longevity. Think of it like this, the old line of turbos are the pushrod carbureted V8s of their time, the GT line is the DOHC, high compression, fuel injected V8 of today.

Any who…I’d get one if I wanted to spend that much money.

The gt’s are a good turbo, but you end up paying for them… i have the gt3071r, and its a badass turbine
