Ok i’m very close to just saying “forget it” with the b20 swap. I figure for the amount i would pay to get it (900$ hondamotorsonline) i could purchase rods, pistons, and probably girdle for that much. I feel that it would be “easier” and cheaper to just stay with the 1.8 built up the bottom and do a ls/vtec. I’m sure a few feel the way i do. Does anyone know WHERE you can find JUST the b20 block for around 500$ shipped?!?! if not, well-i might do that in the future but for now-i’m staying with my 1.8 and a good bottom end. :shy:
I know you get what you paid for-but there has to be a way just to get the block-not the “long block”. :shock:
sticking with the b18a isn’t going to be cheap:
-block girdle $275
-shot peen + shave rods $150+
-all new bearings $200
-bore/hone/deck/balance $500
-pistons $350+
right there you’re already over $1000, and that didn’t include any labor to assmble the block, or any of the needed gaskets and stuff like timing belt…
cheaper than crvtec. I’m still interested in the b20 i just need the cheapest price and place! If someone-anyone knows where i could get one like 500-600 SHIPPED i would be greatly appreciative.
