Which hyper-whites to get?

Ok, I just got my one-pieces installed and I want to get hyper-whites for them. I had PIAA 9004’s and I liked them but they were kind of expensive. Any recomendations for cheaper hyper-whites… Also I don’t want any that have a “blue” look to them.

Ahhh! I say keep it JDM! Plain bulbs look the best… plus they’re LEGAL! lol… I HAD the pure whites for a while, but went back. If you’re super hell bent on the pure whites, try Matrix… I had them, and they looked ‘white’ not ‘gay neon blue’ plus they’re waaay cheaper than the PIAA’s

Did the Matrix bulbs blow on you at all? I had a couple other pairs before the PIAA"s and they blew on me like once a month.

PIAAs should not blow once a month. some people use the same pair for years w/ no problems. make sure you don’t touch the lenses with your fingers at all… if any doubt clean them with alcohol before installing them… the oils from your hands will cause the bulbs to burn out quick… same thing as with halogen bulbs in your lamps around the house.

I know, I said I had a couple of pairs BEFORE the PIAA’S they were just cheapies and they blew out on me all the time. If the Matrix are truely white, are cheaper, and they don’t blow out than I think I’d rather get those.

I just put the cheap farenheit bulbs in my truck and they are awesome… when they are on all you see is white… almost no blue at all…

I have Eurolites and they have never blown. They have been N since…ummmm…well that long ago that I don’t even remember.

I didn’t have any probs with my Matrix bulbs… I had them in for approx 4-5 months… and they worked fine. Obviously they’re no PIAA, and just remember, you get what you pay for. But I think you’ll be happy with them. Just remember this: DO NOT TOUCH THE BULBS WHEN INSTALLING THEM!!! If you touch the glass bulb, the oil on your fingers creates a ‘hot spot’ there for nuking your bulbs… this makes them burn out within a few hours or days…

P.S. - I’d also budget for pure white turn bulbs/etc… in the front as well (if you have clear corners) that way everything matches, and looks good.

Yeah, I already got the hyper-whites in everything but my headlights, that’s why I’m not going with the stock bulbs.

get the Krypton power by Showoff, i think group buy got them on special right now. THere absolutely gorgoues. when they first turn on (cold) they tend to have a blut tint but once warmed it is pure white. very very nice looking and i also got my cousin a pair of them and he runs them all the time (daytime too) in his WRX. and he said he loves them. especially the high beam =P

How do I order them on groupbuy, I’ve heard of this a million times but I don’t know exactly what it is?

How do you guys think HID’s would look in the one pieces? I don’t know how they’d look since the corner lights would be regular. You know what I’m saying? I think they’d look tight on a G3 but I’m still not sure about a G2…

HIDs in a G2 is not a good idea if u want to blind the hell out of oncoming traffic…although it does look white and clean…as for the website, www.groupbuycenter.com

I personality do not think they are all that bad. I rarely have people shine at me unless i have fog lights on at the same top. i got HID head / fog / side / back up/ interior / trunk i’ts pretty good overall in my opinion…

If you really want to get some good ones you should get the hard to find 180 w piaa 6000k headlights. they are bright as standard REAL HID kits (4300 k) ones. not as bright as 6000k real HID like the BMW’s. those are bad ass

WTF??? you’ve got HID in your trunk lights? Wow, you’ve got the HID fever man lol.

true dat lol =P
i’ts much brighter than the stock yellow.

O yes btw if you guys decided to put in some of those 130 - 180 w bulbs make sure you put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box to replace the 10’s otherwise the 10’s will blow.

Don’t the JDM one-piece lights come with H4H bulbs and not H4 bulbs? Aren’t the H4H bulbs pretty hard to find here in the US? - I found Options Auto Salon carries the H4H’s for the one-peicers —> http://www.optauto.com/webstore/view_page.asp?page_id=14 Having the H4H bulbs is going to really limit your bulb selection - I think

Has anyone used those high wattage bulbs and had any probs? … lens cracking … wire melting … etc. ? I might try 'em myself.

i use 130 w and no crack no wire burning no yellowing. the only mod if had to chage was put a 15 amp instead of the orig 10 amp for the fog lights
