I have a 88 hatch back, just got it from where i wrecked and totaled my integra. My engine was not damaged at all. So i went out and bought the whole crower head(cams,valve springs,retainers) along w/ the crower rods and CTR pistons w/ extreme rings. But now i was offered a B16 for a very good price($800 long block). Should i stick w/ the Ls or go B16. Let me know fellas!!!
I’ve been told to sell the parts and get the B16a. It has more potental!!!
they will both work very well in a hatch. If it was me, I would keep the LS since you did so much to it already. Unless you can get at least $800 or more for the LS i don’t recommend buying the b16. Sure it has vtec, but then you will prolly need to rebuild the motor and get ecu.
When u said you bought back the motor, I hope you bought back the whole car, because you are gonna need alot of parts from the teg to make the LS work (ie. axles, shift linkage, motor mounts…etc) You can even upgrade the crappy rear drums with the rear disc off the teg.
