if the white box sends rpm signal to the cluster does that mean i can use it on a aftermarket electical rpm tack…
Out of the 5 screws, the three on the bottom are connected to the cluster circuit board and gives you rpm’s. You can remove the the white case if you don’t want cruise control. I’m pretty sure that the tach gets it’s signal from the blue wire from the distributor…I’ll confirm later.

I pulled my cluster (along with everything under the dash) today to remove the alarm and fix the screwed up wiring. I also changed the cluster to amber bulbs, but i went to go and start it up and the tach isnt working now. I know the signal comes from the distributor which means its a direct shot from the cluster to the module. Im not sure what would of caused this, unless the wire some how was cut between, im going to have to check for continuity between that wire, but if thats ok, do you think the ICU would maybe cause it to fail, because i inspected mine today and its deff toast, which explains a lot of my wiring issues.
