I’m looking to put on a set of Koni’s (hopefully yellows) and I’ve heard that you can actually lower your car even more (up to an inch?) by installing these - or anyother - aftermarket shock…
This true?!
I’m kinda hoping so… only cause I still have a tiny bit of a gap still between the tire and wheel well… hopefully someone can give me the scoop on this…
First off, koni only makes yellows for G2’s, so if you were to get reds, you’d have to hybridize your suspension to get them to fit. Koni yellows do provide adjustable spring perches, but they won’t drop you another inch. I think the lowest setting will lower you about a 1/4", with the middle being about stock, and the top being about 1/4" over stock (I forget the exact specifics, and it’s not exactly a 1/4", it’s some metric measurement, I wanna say it’s like 20mm between the top and bottom settings.) So you aren’t going to get an extra 1" from the koni’s, but you will get a little extra drop (like I have yellows with H&R sports, which are a 1.8" drop, and on the lowest perch, it’s roughly a 2" drop total.)
