I challenge any 200whp N/A honda to come race me at my elevation. There are certainly some I’d loose to no doubt but until you put up I’m not buying your story. I’m not too concerned about loosing to them or any other car for that matter, I’m pretty happy with what i got. Also in the past 2 weeks I’ve walked an SRT-4, countless mustangs and a Ford Lightning. I also hung with an R6 till I redlined 5th gear on Saturday. I raced a friend in a b16 hatch with a t3/04 and we were dead even through 3 gears. (this all happened on a closed course, street racing is bad)
My actual goal is to tune for 10psi and all indications show that this will be in the 250whp SAE range. should push me over my goal of 200whp uncorrected at about 5500’ above sea level.
You can have you opinion of a T3 but until you try one I think you may be a bit misinformed. You wanna share your dyno with the rest of the forum so we can compare? Where do you spool? Whats your torque curve show? what size are your charge pipes? Hows your wastegate plumbed? Heres mine and I gotta say, this turbo fits this engine like a glove!

I agree, it just seems everyone is running t3/t4 ( i say bandwagon) but if u plot t3 to a compressor map it will tell u its perfect for b18 engines. I want a good powerband rather than a peak power. just my 2 cents

the things you post are VERYY fishy. you sure your not posting the corrected flywheel hp? anyways, I was running 2.5" IC pipe and a HUGE intercooler(12x24x3 core). I run a t3to4e 57 trim .60ar(cold) .63ar(hot) with a trust type-S wastegate running open DT. SSautocrap manifold. B16a w/ .043 cometic headgasket(9.8:1 comp) skunk2 manifold, STR 70mm TB, RC 550’s. 14.0 A/F ratio untill boost then 11.5 A/F ratio(WOT). I have 11 psi before vtec (5K), so when vtec pops, I smoke your ass. a tourque curve only helps low revving LS’s. best run on 225/50/15 DR’s: 13.2@112mph, peglegged. I tune on the street, I never got it on the dyno. sold the shortblock anyways, now there’s a darton sleeved ls/vtec going in there.
If I was to run the same size turbo on the LS, I would run a .48ar(hot) instead of the .63. Boost will come on at 3k instead of 4k.
its amazing, I just got done checking some LS dynos on honda-tech.com. to make 225whp everone has a larger t3t4 and running 10+psi. anyone with a t3 doesn’t even have 200whp at 8psi. your at high elev. and you make more than everone else. you must have a magic t3. :giggle:
If I launch it I get traction around 45mph in 3rd geaR, till then is miserable.

i have seen a couple people that have that are kicking just about the same setup as chunk and they are pushing around the same hp…so i believe you chunk…(plus i want to believe you anyways since you are running the same setup that i am saving for)
Glad to hear, you (as in anyone) can believe me or you can not, I’m just putting in my .02 to try and help out. I posted my dyno, my entire setup and will put up my slips too if it doesn’t rain on Friday at the strip.
And for the haters, I didn’t run an R6 from a dig and i certainly didnt beat him, I hung with him from about 60mph to about 130 (like I said, I hit redline) and I was about 1.5-2 car lenghts behind him. I was impressed at how close I was when we both shut down and he was too cause he showed his appreciation for my car by pointing at it and giving my a thumbs up. He was pretty cool about it. I certainly wasn’t on the bike so I don’t know how good of a rider he is, I’ve never been on an R6 from 60-130 before so I don’t know if this excelleration is normal or not. None of that really matters to me, a race is a race to me, and he was obviously racing.
Also, bTw, an R6, acording to the dynos I found was just a touch UNDER 100whp. More mis-information shrugs

Your car hit rev limit at 5.5k? last time I tunned an LS the stock rev limit is 6999. I have always revved stock LS’s to 7.5k(chipped). here is a pic from the link you just gave me showing a LS running 5.5k. He’s already doing 120mph. but I’m the idiot. :bs: sorry I got so jumpy about the 160+mph I’m used to revving to 8.5k. if you take a ls tranny to 8.2k it is a little over 170mph(with 205/50/15’s)

My turbo b16 hatch has been running boosted for over 9 months, with no problems, puts down 270 to the wheels at 9 PSI. we just got Chunks going, but we know what we are doing, and we’ll talk to you in 6 months when his is still making over 200, and yours have crapped out or blown up again. untill then… :hump: my car cuz we all know yours is shite.
Oh, and if we wanted to lie about numbers…don’t you think we could make up a better lie? like something along the lines of “I have an LS-Vtec, with all stock internals making 450 HP on 4 PSI, and it’s been running for 2 years with no problems.” huh? now THAT sounds like a lie to me…
For the record, I took my LS tranny turbo integra to about 132 mph on the freeway last year and had room left in the rpms…I was at about 6100 rpms before i got scared and let off.

who said my friends crx wasn’t running? I said I will have a dyno sheet posted for that within 2 weeks. Just need dyno time. if I lived were you are I could just drive to a dyno pull up strap it down and run it. here we have to wait for our turn. with the 10+ dynos in the tampa bay area the shortest waiting list is 1 week.
