k, so i go to put on the bigmouth today and it says to use my stock bumper support…
but the damn thing, if i use the support, bulges out and wont attach in the fenderwells (it wont reach cause its bulging in the front) and if i dont use the support well #1 it sags in front and #2 im funked in a front-end collision…
hmmmm…thats odd how u said it sags…is it not that sturdy?..well also u might wanna check ur bumper support…i have heard that they are adjustable …so look around it and see if u see if there is any place to adjust it
Had the same problem while trying to convert my 90-91 FB to a 92-93. Screw in the 2 side screws then when your about to attach it in the front, have someone hold it up as fara as it’ll go, so that the 4 bolt have it held up from the bottom of the hole from the supports. This will give you about a one inch raise, but it sure did the job for me.
yeah you use the supports. the 4 bolt i’m talking about are the bolts behind the bumper lights. screw the 4 screws in on the sides, then b4 you bolt it down the the 4 behind the bumper lights, have someone raise the big mouth as far up as it’ll go, then tighten insert the bolts.
i have the bigmouth kit and had the same problem…
the shop ended up modifying the support, they cut the corners off and that allowed the kit to fit with the support and all,
my advice is see if u have anything that will cut the corners or whatever hits the kit, it might just work
i wish i knew exactly what the shop did so that i could tell ya, sorry
thanks b17avtec, i finally decided to say funk it and get a cutting wheel for my drill. pics when she’s done (although not painted, i got set back because of a $117 speeding ticket i got in Olathe, KS. That’s another story tho for AIM: CFVMBONE ask me there and i’ll fill ya in:D)
