Hey guys, I found a clutchmaster stage 2 racing clutch for sale. I was wondering if it would work well for everyday drivng…yes, I will be taking my Teg to the 1/4 mile and racing it, but it’s also my everyday driver. It will be used with an LS tarnny.
The Racing Clutch Kit consist of:
-Stage 2 Racing Heavy Duty 2300LBS Pressure Plate
-Stage 2 6 puck metallic MIBA* disc with sprung
-Throwout bearing and pilot bearing for Stage 2
-Alignment tool

In general, puck clutches are not good for street driving. Did you talk to your parents about swapping your teg for the EP?
Hey I’d love some input on this clutch kit too, cuz I found one at a good price. Any opinions on this clutch kit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

EP? I dont know what car that is. If you mean swapping trannies with the 96 civic then no.

Aww! Deliveries would be so much easier with an automatic and getting stuff in and out of the car would be better with the 4-door! Get them drunk and try again!

You are cruel to my Teg. Why do you have to be like that and dis the 4 door automatics! It wont be auto for long!!

i currently have a CM stage III on my daily driver and it is fine. the pressure on the clutch petal that the CM gives u feels totally stock unlike other high performance clutches so if u want a performance clutch on a daily driver id say go clutchmasters all the way…i love mine

from your description, it seems to be different than what i have above but that’s the only CM stage2 i know of for our cars.
I have the stage 3 and it’s fine for everyday driving as well as autox. HTH.

What are you talking about? I drive a 4-door automatic too. :shrug:
First of all - read product reviews.
Second - Exedy makes great clutches, and has been doing so for years. Lotsa guys on this board have one, including me. Its a powerful clutch, with a lot of life. If you want to be swapping clutches frequently, then get a 6 puck. They are basically generally known for low life. But if dropping trannies is your thing, and spending 400 bucks once a year on a clutch is too, then go for it.
