did 90 GS’ come equipped with charms to let you know you left your lights on or that the door was open? I’m always forgetting to turn off my lights cuz I dont hear any kind of reminder. Someone please answer this for me. Thanks. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Does your dome light come on when you open your door? Mine doesn’t because the sensor that tells the car my door is open doesn’t work on the drivers door. I don’t have any reminders because of this.

My domelite doesnt come on either. So I have NO charms and NO domelite. My Teg is ghetto.
No, your door sensor is malfunctioning. Its a black plastic tab in the shape of an “L”. Look on your door jam and you’ll see it. I’ve heard that spraying it with WD-40 will fix it, but I’ve never tried that. I think there is something in the Teg Tips too.
I’ve never fixed mine cause my alarm arms itself when a door is opened and then closed. Since the car doesn’t “see” my door, I can get out, put gas in and the car won’t alarm itself.
Let us decide if your car is ghetto.

Actually, just take the switch out and run a wire brush or some steel wool over it to clean the contacts. Mine were a little rusted and did the same thing.
Steve, if you set your alarm and then somone opens the driver’s door how is the alarm going to go off if the alarm brain doesn’t recognize it?

Maybe its my super sensitive shock sensor, but I cannot open my driver door with the alarm going off. I don’t question it.

My switch was not working either and no matter how much I sanded or lubed it, it didn’t work. So I swapped in the switch from the passenger side. It works great now!
