I hit a tire that was kicked up by the truck in front of me. I’ll be working on getting this fixed.
The worst, man. I had a tread get kicked up into my WRX a few months back, thankfully didn’t mess up the paint but it did scuff my headlight pretty good. Better than a fender though.
My radiator repair didn’t hold. On Friday, I thought I heard a noise that sounded like I ran over a nail but I think it was actually the repair glue popping off my radiator. So I caved and installed the Spectra rad I was holding onto.
Also, what in the camber gang is going on here???
We all know you wanna be “stanced” ![]()
Maybe if I was trying to tuck 225’s lol
My camber is pretty bad too but amazingly I haven’t seen much issue with tire wear running 195/55/15s. I had to remove the camber kit a while back. Because of that, it’s low on the to-do list.
Thinking about what could be causing this, it’s probably my rear LCAs. The bushings are blown out. I might end up buying some DC arms and bolting them up, and if the cheapo Dorman bushings fail, I’ll just replace them with hardrace when the time comes. For like $96 total for both arms, it’s worth it in my opinion. Especially after the price to replace the bushings on my front LCAs…
There are also some theoretical advantages to the DC rear lower control arms, due to the shock mounting point being 3/4” further towards the wheel compared to a DA. This effectively increases the rear shock lever advantage (stiffer response) and may also lower the rear a tiny bit. Honestly probably not noticeable amounts on either of those. The biggest advantage is that these exist, where DA replacements do not!
That’s an interesting note.
Reminds me that I still have Suspension Techniques front and rear sway bars that I want to install. ![]()
I bet those would feel really nice bolted up! I was trying to get a guy in CA to sell and ship me a rear one. The rear is 19mm I think. It’s nice that they use OEM mounts. Everyone else’s sway bars require a rear brace to work.
Got em new in box from another member several years ago. Just have them wrapped up in plastic waiting for time.
Same story with a whiteline swaybar kit for my WRX, bought during a sale and have it sitting in its plastic.
I sourced new headlights, ordered another front lip, my body shop is suggesting I source a hood.
Where can you get a front lip?
https://www.jdpengineering.com/product-page/jdp-air-duct-front-spoiler-92-93 6 Weeks lead time. Exact replacement for the one I had.
Oh man! I didn’t know JDP engineering was still around! Sweet!
I still have the lip new in box for the 90-91. I got it … probably 2008. I’ve been waiting for free $ to put into painting the entire car.
18 years later.

Pribably the only company still making lips for 2nd gens
Yeah I don’t care about waiting that long, as long as it’s available.
Well, suddenly one of my fans is coming on randomly, or not coming on at all (it is wired to come on with the key ON). I made no changes. Sounds like a sensor issue or something funky going on computer-wise. Will be checking connections on that this weekend.
