I’m getting a lot of orders for stuff but I don’t know how they’re getting to the store. I’m assuming this is word-of-mouth or link sharing. No one is tagging the club on social media either. I haven’t made a post on social media in a while. I prefer to spend my time here.

I have the gauge set at least. I bought it for the house HVAC because I wanted to determine pressures but never got around to it. I wonder whether I can use it to check the car.

I basically followed the chrisfix video on how to vacuum and recharge the system.
it is partly due to the ac switch constantly failing. I’ve gone through 3 or 4 of them. I’ve actually been thinking about designing a new universal switch and housing because it has been so failure-prone.

I’m assuming if I try to pull vacuum on the system and it can’t… that means there’s a hole. That in itself is probably super helpful.
Yeah, you should be able to get your system to around -27mm hg which is about as far as the cheapie autozone rental pump can go. If you can’t get it that low that means you have a small leak somewhere, and if it doesn’t get past 0 then you have a big leak.
Then you shut the valves and see if the vacuum needle drops towards zero. If it more-or-less doesn’t move for a half hour, your system should be considered sealed enough for your refrigerant to stay in there at least a year or two.
Also, don’t try to pull a vacuum if there’s pressure in there. lol.
OMG I just looked up the rental for the pump at autozone and it’s $200! I know I get it back but wow – considering the Vevor ones are $60 with more flow :shrug:
