1/3 mile Oval Dirt Track 4 Cylinder Class (A G2 Won)

My Brother and I are working on 2 cars for the local 1/3 Mile Oval Dirt Track.
We have only been spectators the past few weeks because we dont have our cars done. He has a 88 CRX Si and I have a 93 Integra RS.

Everything has to be stripped and I was wondering how his car and mine would do against some of the cars.

Here are some of the cars
90 Integra LS (First Time Racing Was Tonight for Him)
99 Escort
89 Prelude Si
Many Eagle Talons and Eclipses and Lasers
88 Civic Hatchback
89 Civic Sedan
and many other cars that basically suck

The rules state the you cannot have RWD, Rotary Motors, and have to be naturally aspirated.

Well they dont check shit because those DSM’s still have the factory turbos in them and they usually lead every race, until tonight. The 89 Prelude Si and Eagle Talon got the wins the first few races, then this race a 90 Integra had entered and started from the back in the heat race and worked his way to the lead, and actually winning by a big margin.
But his heat didnt have any of the DSMs in them, so I had no Idea how he was going to do, I was hoping he would do great because I am building the same car as he has.

He started 2nd and the flag dropped and he jumped out to an early lead with a couple dsms and a 99 escort on his ass, then he started to pull away. It stayed that way till the end and he got his first win. To my suprise it was just a 13 year old kid racing.

So I figure my car will just be as good as his, and hopefully my driving doesnt suck. I wonder if my brothers CRX will keep up to?

the old lude si could be 4 wheel steering, which i imagine would help a little. some of them were at least. is this a dirt track like the midget races are on? all sliding around corners and such? i’d imagine taking a lot of weight out of the rear would help a lot, so you dont slide quite so bad. and put some decent tires on the back.

haha dirt oval? sounds fun. what kind of suspension/tires do they run?

Everything has to be stock, but the thing is, they dont check shit. The only way you get caught is if someone narcs on you. If the DSM’s get away with turbos, then I think I can get away with a aftermarket suspension setup.

Yea the racing is fun to watch, and hopefully fun to race in. You run good tires up front and bologna’s in the back so you can kick your back around in the turn. I will have pics up late friday night after the races and we are actually in the process of making a camera mount in one of the cars so maybe a vid will be up to.

ya screw pics, i wanna see vids. outside and inside heh

13 year old kid? They REALLY don’t check anything.

Here is a pic of the G2 that usually wins if it wasnt for a cheatin DSM, AWD and Turbo. They both have a couple of wins under their belt. Heres a pic of the DSM to.

Heres the cheater
