I have a 92 integra ls with a B16a motor, s1 tranny. My mods are DC headers, thermal exhaust, short ram intake, integra type r camshafts with aem adjustable gears, and a stage 1 clutch. I’m gonna buy some falken azenis for my fat five gsr rims. I was wondering if any body can tell me what i should be running in a quarter mile. Thanks for your help.
if youre a decent driver MAYBE 14.6-14.9
big maybe
no way in hell he’ll be in the 14’s. try mid 15’s
Thanks for the replies, I was thinkin low 15s or high 14s because my friend has a 92 ls with a couple of mods and he was running 15.4, on the stock motor so i would think my car would be faster with a b16 with mods. Thanks for the help.
You should be able to make it into the 14’s. I ran a 15.5 on a 90+ degree day, in fontana, with worn out shocks and clutch and a gutted interior. B16 4-1 header and homeade ram intake.
Matt
Thanks for the reply Matt, and everybody else. That was what i was thinkin also in the high 14s or low 15s, I’m gonna strip my interior also, I’m going to sacramento raceway with in a month I will post my times after I race.
CMI?
last time i went to the track i ran a 15.6 with aem short ram intake, magnaflow 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, stock b16 header and on street tires with full interior. if you get the azenis launch high and feather the clutch, i wished i had my azenis, with out them i hit a best of 2.4 60’.
Why are you going to waste your time stripping your interior, when you’re just going to put it all back in once you get home?
:tsk:
I’d say MID to high 15’s… better is possible, but i think expecting less and getting more is better at the track, cause most of the time people are disapointed expecting better…
Unfortunatley your not going to see as high as a time as you would hope. B16’s are nice on the street but you will find they dont perform as well on the strip due to their lack of torque. You wont really “feel” the power band until late 2nd early 3rd gear, and by then your halfway down the track. Your gonna hate me for this but i would say your gonna hit anywhere from 15.6 to 16.0. and that depends highly on 60’ times. I dont know what kind of driver you are but that is my guess. Lemme know when you plan on going out maybe we can have a mini track meet to unleash my car cause that is probably when i will be going out. Anyway that is just my .02.
Thanks for the reply man, when I first bought my car it had the swap with intake and exhaust, and i had some bald tires, i was burning out a lot, and i was getting 60 ft times of 2.5s i think and my best time was 15.9. So i’m kinda with you on that 15.6 hopefully now that i got type r cams,dc header, azenis coming soon, and now i’m a better driver. I work wednesday nights so i would have to go to sac raceway on the next saturday test and tune, or if they have any other test and tunes during the day. Let me know when you want to go, i’ll try to make arrangements.
we have test n tunes friday nights from 6-10. it’s $45 i think to get in and you’ll get a ton of runs in and the track is fully prepped. i work the tower at the track and if you come out, come up into the tower and say hi, my car is always parked right behind the tower also
i’ll proabaly be there wednesday, but i’ll be there after work around 7:45. Do you know when the next time is they have the track open during the day?
the only time we are open during the day is for our all day test n tunes where it’s $100 to run all day. that happens on the 1sty and 3rd fridays of the month. other than that the only other time we’re open is for races, real compatition races and you can’t simply bring a street car out for some runs.
we do have grudge fests for street cars on some weekends. check www.sacramentoraceway.com for a full schedual
