when i fist saw hybridls’ car - he didn’t have crap in it. it was still burgandy, if i remember right. it didn’t run that day. the next time i met him was at the track in cecil. he’d stripped down that car, primered it, and ran it fast as hell. i was a little intimidated by it. he said he wanted to race me, i’m glad i didn’t, cause my b16 didn’t stand a chance . . . lol. now, with the new motor built, damn, buddy. glad we’re friends. i’d hate to lose to someone that badly if i didn’t like them.
This car has more potential in it so yes lets have that DC2 come around without the laughing gas though . Hybrids cars run very well and let me tell you that we have about two hours of fuel tuning and most of that was to make the car hold a consistant idle , there is no cam tuning yet and car has stock ls IM and TB and compression is around 12.2:1 and runs pump gas just fine . The goal for this car is a have a streetable 12 sec. ls motor and I think hybrid will get it there .
hybrid what head are you planning on getting from them dh-racing, I know a b18 but a package or what type of work from them blah blah, and your gonna keep sticking with the stock im, why is that? I am going to get the 750$ combo tb/im from them here in a few months, I will have it on for next summer racing and I will let you know how it runs. im trying to get my car into the 14’s without any internals, just bolt ons… hopefully I can do it, and yea def let us know if you get into the 12’s that will be just sick. oh I wanted to konw if you got your shit dynod yet and what the numbers are! MUCHO PROPS!
It is the stock ported ls head I already have the dual valve springs and retainers. I will dyno it here in a few weeks. I would go with a combo but I am going with GSXR ITBs and getting rid of my dc sports 4-2-1 header
what are you replacing the dc with, I am looking at the comptech or kamikazees, havnt decided yet, something with a 2 1/2" collector tho. you know you can buy just there im, or you can have them do you im so you can keep the stock look and still gain hp. might help ya get into the 12s

i say congrats. i wish i could get myself to that point. i’m hoping with my latest mods i can hit solid 14s with my b16. i’m happy my girl hit 16.2 on a completely stock car with 215k on the origional motor.
Damn, I’ve got to come down there and spend some time with you guys at the track and check out your cars. Sounds like you guys (south Ga) have got something good going on down there and I’ve got to check it out. I’m going to try to go down there in two weeks. Hey, hopefully my 16.2’s will be dropping. I know I can hit the 15’s without doing anything else to the car, so I just hope when I am able to start on my car that I can be as quick as hybridls. Maybe next time I can actually give him a run for his money instead of watching him get up and walk away from me. I’m coming for ya man.
