What about wheel sizes? my 16 second tiem was most likely due to worn motor as my driving skills had not gotten any better(if it was any good in the first place:P) then when I ran a low 15 with my b16.
hey i ran a 15.1 with my b16a teggy when i had am intake and shifter…until later on in life thaT motor got hydrolocked :tsk:

i live here in El Paso Texas and i have a b16 in my teg and i ran a 15.8 with a slipping ass stock clutch, GSR headers, bullshit intake, and a cherry bomb as my exahust… and we r not even close to elevation over here… n e where else it would b like a 14.9 or 15.0 flat… but with an act clutch, aftermarket headers, and a real exahust its running harder than that… oh yeah and driver is everything… use this as an example last night here in town i raced a real ITR (integra type r) and i waxed him, with my b16 teg… so its all about the driver… u could line up a 845 whp car to my teg or to n oner elses car and if the guy with thew mad horsepower dont know how to drive then its a waste of money top fix that car up…

So what happened to the motor after it hydrolocked? Did you get the water out?
Did you just assume the motor was trashed?

i opened the oil pan and took out the windage tray and i saw 2 rods hanging broken…but first i took out the water and it wouldnt work then i opened the oil pan
As far as 1/4 mile times I believe its more than the driver, like tires weight reduction, i think the launch is what determines the time because like people say if you launch high and feather the clutch it will save wheel spin. I ran my 92 ls w/b16a with short ram intake, thermal exhaust, full interior, and some bad worn out tires on some gsr rims. I ran 15.9s, and i was launching at less than 3k and still spinning the tires. So i say buy some falken azenis and feather the clutch launching high, you will probably get better times. I put dc headers,integra type r cams with aem gears, and ground control springs on my car since then. I’m buying some azenis soon then i’ll go to the race way again, and post my new time.

update I ran one time again and still got 16.3 with all my ac parts in. I had no wheel spin just granny down then punched it. I need to upgrade my POS exhaust that looks like its crushed with a 1in,lol I bought the car and seen it but oh well in a month its gonna be 2.25in mandrel
What altitude are you at? I was able to run a 16.9 up here in Colorado 5,830 ft, and I just watched another guy run a 16.8 in a car that was much heavier than mine.
