Ok, I wanna know what everyone in here is running on there ls motor. I went to the track and ran a 9.73 & 60 degrees high humidity. First run in a long time. I want to get an Idea what you guys are doing. Non ls/vtech. street tires only

also, if anyone with times about with mine has run the quarter what was your best time, so I have an Idea of what Im running. I hope Im running in the 14s with what Ive got done. I was running 10.3 with intake only.

I ran a 10.1 with only a axle back exhaust and k/n drop in filter. Only thing weight reduction was no spare. Hopefully im gonna go back in two weeks and see how I do with I/H/E.

he means with his 10.3 1/8 mile time when he only had intake, and now he has a 9.73, he believes he should run somewhere in the 14s in the 1/4 mile now.
here is my take…
Stock:
when i ran a 10.430 at the 1/8 mile mark, i ran a 16.170
when i ran a 10.198 at the 1/8 mile mark, i ran a 15.739
current mods:
when i ran a 09.800 at the 1/8 mile mark, i ran a 15.276
Depending on how your power lies, you might be in the 14s, you are very close. give me your other stats for that run, ie) 60, 330, and mph.
Hey thanks guys ,I dont have my other stats 60 and so… Yes, I pulled all of that weight off too. I made a list and weighed every part I posted it on here once already. I have no ac parts or heater parts blower motor condenser ect…I have a 12 pound odessy battery. no motors for my seatbelts to retract, lighter replacment parts nothing, in the trunk area no rear seats or belts speakers ect… and every other near to usless part everyone else has removed (rear wiper ect.) No power streering, washer fluid, hoses, brackets, lower tie brace? I think im running 14s. a guy I know with a civic hatch claims he runs a mid 14 and I can take him so?..?I know Im not running mid 14s though so he is b.s.ing me.
I still shift @red line but Ill admit when I ran that run I took it to 7500 in third. I was told that it would be ok to run that high, but to use high octane gas and full synthetic oil, oh and not to make it a habit. It started bogging a little at 7400 though,like it wasnt getting enough gas. Ive only done that at the track though. Pulled a 4th gear sctratch!
why would you even do this? Doesn’t the LS start loosing all kinds of torque past 7,000? Be careful though, my B17 spun a bearing at only 6,300 or so and it was running synthetic oil and 93 octane at the time.

my db1 with full interior plus spare with nothing but hks catback and an exhaust leak at that and a shot shifter ran a 10 flat…why so high?
My best time in mine was 9.703. Setup is stock JDM B18B, Action 2ks clutch kit, Ebay CAI, Ebay header (ran with every port on the header cracked), 15" c8’s w/ kuhmo 711’s. Full interior w/ tire and and a 45lb bookbag.

yea im gonna have to call bs on this one. Unless you have some real sticky tires, more mods, weight reduction, or something. With my 91 Rs I ran a 10.1 with just exhaust and my trap was right at 71mph. Whats your def of “stock”?
didn’t ne1 notice that he said he wound 3rd out to 7500 in the 8th, he’s fn lying. That would equal about…85-90 in an 8th. maybe i’m just thinkn too hard. :think:
