hey guys my passenger side foglight will not work on my stock lights… i dunno what is up, i changed the bulb but it just wont turn on.
is there anyway i can get to the wiring without taking the bumper off? or are there fuses i can check?
thanks guys,
help please
My 91 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual shows power to both fog lights coming off fuse 19 (15A) in dash fuse box. Since the left fog light works it isn’t the fuse. Power for the fog lights goes through a fog light relay than splits to the left and right fog lights. This means the relay is OK. I would put a known good bulb in the right side just in case the new (replacement) bulb is bad. If the known good bulb doesn’t work on the pax side than check for 12 volts at the bulb socket. Also, check for a good ground on the pax side. The left and right fog lights use separate grounds. Good Luck.
thanks for the reply! i tried the working bulb in the driver side and it works… im starting to think it might be a ground but i have no idea… i tried to follow the wires back to see if any got messed with but my fingers just arnt that small. lol
Maybe the white wire inside the fog housing is grounding out? Happen to me once and it kept blowing a fuse. There is a plug with a red wire and a black that should be by the headlight plug, see if its plugged in or dirty as well.
ill check it out! thanks! also, more comments are appreciated
I had a foglight out on my 91 ls, the wiring between the foglight and the metal headlight bracket was shorting, it was almost like they didn’t give it enough slack from the factory.
