1 Dec 2024: What are you doing with your Integra this week?

I’m thinking about taking off Friday just to get time to wash the cars and arrange garage. My last weekend got inundated with family gatherings and Christmas light installations.

I got a cable transmission from a local. No tag on it so I’m not sure which one it is. Got a table set up and been reading up on as much as I can. May open it up this week and check the internals. If all is good I might swap it into my daily. It currently has the YS1 with the big spline per the previous owner. But it’s popping out of 3rd and has trouble going into it. Should I swap it in and see how it runs? Or just open it up learn it, and inspect it? Decisions decisions.

Continuing to pull stuff off and clean up. Need to get trans mount and bracket off. Need to decide if I’m going to redo the power steering lines that run along the rear beam behind the engine. They are completely corroded and I’m afraid to even touch them.

I’m VERY INTERESTED in your power steering line project. I hate that they run there. Same thing with the AC lines but that’s probably more difficult to address.

Were you going to use an aftermarket cooling fan then?

Plan would be to bend them close to the same path as possible. I have all the tools for it. Unless while I’m in there I see a better path. After doing all the work to get the rear mount out, it may have been easier to tackle both the rear mount and the power steering, since I would remove the rack and probably drop the rear beam also. Otherwise I’ll be working blind on my back from underneath. Not going to touch the AC. Everything works still and everything is in good shape from what I can see so far.
