ok after a few thousand miles my CYL#3 plug is black and tan, its too much fuel i think. i believe its a dead, or worn out injector spraying too much fuel, is that possible? its not burning ANY oil at all, new engine, thanks
wade!
is the black stuff glossy or flat black?
i think its flat
glossy would be fuel, right?
well IF it is really flat and not glossy, it sounds like the fuel is not being burned up in the chamber. might jus have a fouled (dead) spark plug. i would change them all and check them in a week er so.
and make sure they are torqued down correctly in the head. 156 in-lbs

man its not oil., not the plugs, the 3rd always does it with a new change, i think its a messd up injector
then pull the injectors out and find a place to flow test them…
are they the orig. ones?
yes sir, orig plugs , 220K miles on them, i bet the 3rd is tired and worn out, what ya think?
could very well be the case.
oh wells now ya got an excuse to go get new injectors… then ya might aswell get a fuel rail while your at it hahahha…
i ran out of gas recently and now my car won’t start up again, could it be the injectors? …i have a the flat black on them, i was going to change out my coil/ignitor/rotor, etc, but i don’t want to bother doing that if it’s the injectors, could it be?
