1 piece headlight yellow caopsule replacement

Just got my 1 piece headlights in and when I opened the cover for the fog lights the yellow capsules looked real dirty. I have replacements but wondering how to get them off. I tried twisting the replacements off the housing it came with but it feels like it is going to break. Also how do I remove the capsules in the headlights? Do I have to take apart the headlights to get to them? If so what’s the best method to take apart the headlights and what to use to reseal them? Thx in advance!

yes you have to seperate the lens from the housing to change the lenses, there was a great teg tip on how to do it but since teg tips aren’t working i’d try searching the forums for refreshing one pieces or refinishing something of that nature i believe there are quite a few threads on how to do take them apart. then changing those lenses is pretty straight forward.

some people use honda bond i believe to seal them back up you can also get it from parts stores cheaper, same stuff different name on the package i forget exactly what its called tho.

1pc headlights

Whats up man? took my 1pc. apart cuz of moisture, what I did was took a hairdryer or a heatgun,BE CAREFUL WITH THE HEATGUN!!! and heated the area where its sealed, use a screwdriver to pry it apart, the slowly start workin your way around the headlight by hand, heat an area, pull it apart and so on till it comes apart completly, when you put it back together, make SURE you peeled off all the old sealer and everything is clean before you start to re-seal,went to auto zone and got some silicone for plastic, put a nice bead around the light make sure you leave no empty spots to prevent moisture.good luck!!!

i used seam sealer myself to put the headlight back together. there is a type of window tape you can use. it’s like a gum and is very similar to what honda used in their assembly. it should work better than silicon in that it has flex and when heated, can be pulled apart quite easily. just like the factory design
