Have people retrofitted their headlights in these cars with proper HID projectors? I saw a bunch of threads about people putting HID bulbs in, but they just seem to be putting bulbs into the stock projectors.
I have seen a projector setup many years ago, but it was too involved in my opinion. A few people have done it here on G2IC too. I think it was done using the Mishimoto “mini” setup.
After reading up on it, my understanding now is that the projectors would only work if I also ran a transparent lens. the stock checkered lens would diffuse the light improperly if I went to a projector setup.
Yup, they got the aftermarket ones with the clear lens.
