(15 Feb 2026) What are you doing with your Integra this week?

(Automatically generated thread, please reply with your actions this week!)

Cleaned and organized the parts storage room and today will be cleaning the garage so i can start prepping the car for paint. Just doing a exterior respray the same color this year, i want to do a color change but that will wait. Also need to order everything to do a head gasket, all belts and pumps since the motor has the original parts

Drove 6+ hrs into Georgia to get a nice bunch of parts. Worth the trip

Nice, I wish I could find a wing local.

Waiting on the rad repair to come in and can’t sit still. (Moved this from last week’s thread)

Finally did my timing belt since the car was down for the radiator anyway. Gotta love that Napa parts quality, this belt has been chugging for 120k and over 30 years! I forget what the timing cover says but it’s in the 1990’s and 90-ish thousand miles.

I need to do mine too but I’m super apprehensive about doing this big of a job when I’m constantly being pulled different ways. I bought one of those cam gear locks though.

From my experience doing this, I think you could split the job into chunks based off how much work each segment was. I’d do:

  1. Get the car on jacks, remove the wheel, splash guards, power steering pump belt and pump, a/c belt. That will take you an hour and a half
  2. Support the engine, unbolt the driver’s engine mount, lower the block, remove the alternator belt, remove valve cover, time the engine, remove crank pulley and timing covers. Pull the timing belt and water pump, reinstall new timing belt and water pump, tension the belt. Another hour and a half
  3. Reinstall everything. Somehow this is faster than removal. Hour and a half.

Ahhhh appreciate that breakdown!

Any time. And with these stages you’re kind of left in a state where it’s not so bad. After the first one you can still move the car if you have to (if you put the wheel back on). After the second one, you can’t move the car but at least you have the new timing stuff on.

took it for a drive for the first time in 2 months

Did you get any double-takes from anyone? :stuck_out_tongue:

(“This guy is driving on the other side!")

Only 1 person on that drive lol

Replaced the capacitors in my ECU to see if that’s why I wasn’t getting any fuel pump activity.

It was not the reason…:downcast_face_with_sweat:
