i have this set of work wheels they came from a corvette they are 16x9+35 all around and they are 5X120.65 thinking about send them to redrill and see if they will fit on my car ? please help need to know before doing anything or if anyone have done this
they probably will… I got 15x8 +10’s… low profile rubber is a must If u wanna put them on
but is bad if i redrill them ??
low pro tires for sure!!!
only thing im not sure is +35 offset… hope its not gonna rub on the inside well make sure that a proper shop does it for u… otherwise its gonna be unbalanced n could cause serious vibrations…
yes bro a shop will redril but still dont know if the 9+ 35 will fit thats my biggest question now
:bang:
would it not be easier to just get wheels that fit?
that would be just way to easy
Entirely too easy.
OP, think of it like this. 16x8 with a 20 offset is a near perfect fit for our cars. Now, add an inch and recess the wheel a little further into the wheel wells. My guess is you will scrub.
Are you going to be running Corvette sawblades? As far as fitment goes, I’m running 16x8 et 25 with 205/45’s and had to run about 3 degrees of negative camber in the rear to stop them from rubbing. Fronts are set at about -2 degrees and the rub when I hit bumps. What are you planning to do as far as your fenders are concerned? Also how low you are/if you have a way of camber correction would make it easier to say if they’ll fit.
well actually this wheels are work wheels but they are originally from a corvette 16x9+35 and i only have skunk2 front caber kit thats all.this is not the pic but they look like this
I fit 17x9 +40 very easily on my DA, and am slammed.
Roll on rears, light roll on front.
U have any pics of the car bro???
I can probably get pics together next week…sure.
That is also using a ton of washers in the rear to get the camber close to zero. Not running any crazy camber to make them fit.
If they were originally from a Corvette, they are BBS and not Work wheels.
Nah bro they are work says on the back and on the centercaps
So after adjusting the suspension down, DA’s EAT up wheels.
17x9 with three washers in the rear and a LIGHT roll, flush. No camber kit in the front, it tucks tire deep in the well. Plenty of room to fit more aggressive widths and offsets.
Now, to decide on a front camber kit so I can get it back to a degree or so.
