hey guys, i just picked up my first car. its a 1990 acura integra gs. i love it. i have been into hondas since i was about 12. so im 16 now and ready to build a car of my own. let me know what you think of it.
list of future mods(hopefully)
for right now with the funds i have, i want to keep it simple
-lowering springs, just above tucking
-si wheels/gsr blades
hid kit/yellow fog lights( not painted i have bulbs)
-front lip of some sort, i have an accord lip i want to throw on once the weather gets better.
-amber turn signals
-amber cluster bulbs
-amber interior clock
cup holders
this is one day what i hope to put on the car. when i get funds i will be replacing replica or non quality parts with these things
ground control or function form coilovers
-konig rollers 15x7.5
-jdp front lip
-oem sunroof visor
-jdm power folding mirrors
-whiteline suspention sway bars
-ksport camber arms
-clean up the bay
-intake, exhaust headers.
-oem honda head gasket
-arp head studs
(boost hopefully in the future)
let me know what all you guys think.
got a bit more rust than i like to see, but i live in texas so our cars are rust free lol…looks like u have a good project ahead of you, welcome to the site
yeah, its got rust but around here this isnt even bad! got updates
i got an oem front lip, rare arm rest and rear mud flaps.
also made the interior clock amber, and installed cup holders
i actually think mine is out of an accord to. it was in a da at a junkyard, but its burgandy, which wouldnt make sense with the integra interior colors. so im pretty sure its from an accord.
great progress! i would suggest finding yellow condoms from an acura legend’s fog lights rather than using yellow bulbs, i have yellow bulbs and my fogs are already half way to melted to sh*t lol
btw what car are the cupholders out of and how did you amber the clock out?
Haha thanks guys! The gs-r seats popped up for cheap so I picked them up. As for the cup holders, they are from a 95 taurus. The amber clock I made from an oem optional crv clock that I took the amber plastic cover and switched it with the purple tinted one that comes on the stock clock
Thanks for the positive comments guys!
i spent three days with my uncle fixing my rear brakes. we took the rims off because my brakes kept scraping and sticking. to my amazement it looked as if the brakes hadnt been changed in the cars whole life. it was a huge job but ended up replacing rotors, pads, calipers and caliper mounting brackets. and all new hardware.
also got -
-new foglight bulbs
-new sunroof switch
-energy suspension bushings
-air filter
-spark plugs and wires
well guys, i havent updated this in awhile. so here goes.
i have decided for now, that instead of quicly trying to modify my car with cheap after market parts, that i will replace everything i need to to make everything in good working order again. i think this old of a car needs attention to detail before heavy modification. so that being said here are some of the things i have done to it since i last updeted. i reilize this isnt the most interesting of build threads, but i also have other things i need to pay for before i start throwing expensive parts on this thing.
i replaced the driver side upper control arm and passenger
i also got 92-93 tai lights
and two new blac fenders
also, my hatch was in horrible condition. the shocks were blown so i replaced those, and it was so rusted and rotted it looked like swiss cheese.
so one da me and my uncle decided to fix it, so over winter it wouldnt get worse.
i also landed a job as a full service auto detailer, so i used my new sills to mae it look as mint as possible
i got some integra floor mats, new shift knob, and i also got a valve adjustment by king motorsports.
thanks for looking guys! im going to try and update more frequently
I have a few updates, made a list of things I want to do and have been baking steady progress. So first I found a mint prelude wheel, at the junkyard for $20 I just installed that on Saturday.
Then I also got a blower motor resistor for free when buying the steering wheel. It looked to be brand new so I tried it and it worked! Saved myself $70
I also got sick of having a check engine and decided to finally buy an o2
no real great updates, i know this thread is slow but im waiting for winter to be over before doing my suspension. In the mean time i got a spoon shift knob to change things up
