I’ve been driving 90-93 Integras for some time now. My past being 92 LS DB1, 91 RS, 91 LS, and now this gem.
Drove about 4 hours away late saturday to meet at a honda dealership in Frankfort, KY. The mechanic had me come into the bay and had the teg by the lift. We examined the car together like a fine diamond and I took it for a short drive down the road. Sitting in the car made me feel as if I was back in the 90’s. The interior was complete. Seats, carpet, plastics all together, and in great condition. The original B18 purred through each gear ever so smooth. There are some minor flaws, but overall it’s a clean DA for sure. Even has the original stereo in operable condition. 124k miles. I payed 3K and the seller threw in a pair of JDM headlights.
Ehh I’m not a huge fan of the stripes. Going
To have a detail shop attempt to take them off.
Had a scare this morning. Got off my 24
Hour shift (army) and went to leave. Integra wouldn’t turn over. Was a bit worried but a local advanced auto had a fuel relay in stock. Changed it out and BAM! She runs.
Hey man, glad to see this car went to a good home. I missed it immediately after you drove off. It’s hard to find such a clean version of the DA these days especially with the low miles. It was a great car for my dad for a year and I loved driving it…wish I could have kept it.
$3,000?!! Three… THOUSAND… dollars? You could have found a GS-R for that price if you took your time and bought it from some old granny who was once a die-hard racing enthusiast but now has severe arthritis in her joints and so is unable to work the stick shift like how she once did in her younger years so now the decision has come to part ways with her mint 1992 Aztec green GS-R which she loves soo dearly and had soo much wonderful memories in it (like the one night stand she had in the backseat of the car with that young stranger she met at a local car meet) and so whoever was to grab her GS-R for $3000 was a pretty lucky fool.
Should have waited and picked up old granny’s GS-R.

Finding a clean GS-R for $3000 is not a common accomplishment, especially now with how the market for these cars is changing. Sure, it happens, but if you find that deal you’re lucky. I’ve been watching for sale ads regularly for quite a while locally (and to a certain extent nationwide) and all you get for $3000 is crap - stuff that needs a full paint job, doesn’t have the original engine…etc. I haven’t seen anything clean under $4500-5000 for around a year now.
Colin… you’re crazy dude, especially being in SoCal? You can find a somewhat clean DA for $1,200 in your neck of the woods if you took your time. The thread starter, dude spent 3 grand on a 1990 AUTOMATIC, no less. And now he’s gonna spend additional money to convert it to manual? That’s pretty ridiculous if you ask me, just saying.

Edit it’s a manual. Still.[/QUOTE]
Have you been looking as I have on an almost daily basis? I doubt it. Maybe our definition of “clean” is different, because even most things priced at $3k+ right now are crap.
If you can find me a CLEAN 92-93 in white or captiva blue I’ll buy it right now but I haven’t seen one at that price since I’ve been looking. The market is really strange right now. You can’t seem to find anything clean for cheap like you used to just a few years ago. Everyone is asking an arm and a leg for what looks like junk to me. People are starting to put more value on these cars, but at the same time no one seems to be buying the higher priced ones, they sit around for months and don’t seem to sell. There was an EXTREMELY clean STOCK Frost White 92 LS that popped up for sale earlier this week - one of those “this was my grandma’s car” situations. The car was listed at $3800 FIRM. I just checked right now and he’s taken the ad down which almost certainly means it sold already for very close to his asking price. I didn’t see it in person but it was probably the cleanest car I’ve seen in a long, long while and worth every penny.

I agree with Colin on this one. Especially since people know its tax season, Sellers like to jack up the prices up higher lol
If something good pops up it will most likely be gone within a few HOURS. but it is true that CA has hundreds of integras for sale everyday. I know other states rarely see them on craigslist or on the roads anymore, so that sucks.
Who cares what he paid? Sounds like he is happy with his buy, not really relevant what your baby’s momma’s cousin’s best friend paid for theirs 5 years ago.
I searched for about 1.5 months before buying. All the integras in my area are very overpriced. They will sell DA’s with no engine and bad body for 4k its pretty weird.
Spent some good hours compounding the car with a dual action then applied a coat of wax. Some pics…
Some things I have done so far. Converted AC to 134a and blows cold again. Applied some seal leak so time will tell how it holds. All new component speakers and 2 12 inch subwoofers with a 500w amp. A new model kenwood Bluetooth media player. Have some 1piece headlights sitting around so once I get to ordering the jumper harness and some new corner bulbs I’ll go ahead and install those. Car makings a weird noise almost sounds like mice in the dash. Most likely the speedo cable so going to order a new one next payday. I’ll post pics when I install headlights and some Stanley ambers.
The most I really wanted to pay for this car was 2500 but there were no other integras in a comparable condition for a decent price. I found a few nice ones in my area but sellers wanted close to 5k. I didn’t find out about a nicer car located in NC until after I purchased. Sucker. I know I could always sell this for around 2500 really fast. Not a big loss to me. It’s only money kids
