1990 post mount

well lads im currently building a da6 and am about ready to put in my engine but the problem is on the side mount i have two post mounts one has one stud and the other has two studs, but the mount will not go into the one with two studs ?. i have read im suppose to use the one with one stud but then im left with a hole where the second stud would be can anyone shed some light ? thanks

I am guessing you mean this engine bracket, and the corresponding motor mount?

There is a companion bolt for the stud. The bolt goes up from the bottom. The engine should be lifted or propped up from the bottom sufficiently so that the bracket and the motor mount line up before the bolt is fastened and torqued down. Being a bit dense myself, I pretty much exhausted every wrong method of doing that, until the only one left was correct …

^Correct.

You want the one with a single stud. The mount will slip over that stud and then you’ll put a nut on the end. The other hole is there so that you can run a bolt upwards thru the post mount and into the mount.

#26 is the nut that goes on the stud in the post mount, #16 is the bolt that goes thru the post mount and into the engine mount.

Thanks lads glad I got that cleared up. just have to find the other bolt for it now haha
